Located around 20 minutes south of Moalboal in Badian, this area is also home to the famous Kawasan Falls. Lambug Beach is a perfect place to relax after you’ve been canyoneering, or if you have spent a few hours chasing waterfalls.

A beautiful stretch of white sand, Lambug Beach has that quintessential Philippine vibe with coconut palm trees leaning towards the crystal clear aquamarine ocean. It isn’t very well known outside of the local community, so you could be the only tourists here.  It’s paradise away from the crowds.

Mantayupan Falls, Barili is the tallest waterfall in Cebu, and an easy day trip from Moalboal. Known by locals as Ambakan Falls, Mantayupan Falls is very easy to reach, and one of the awesome things to do in Moalboal. Set in the jungle, the falls are a beautiful area to hang out. Montpellier Waterfall, Alegria is one of my favourite waterfalls in Cebu. Although visitors are becoming more aware of its existence, it’s still a secret waterfall and you probably won’t see another tourist when visiting this beautiful natural wonder.

An easy day trip from Moalboal, if you like the road less travelled, due to its off-the-beaten track location, Montpellier Waterfall (also known as Montpeller Falls) is one of the must-see waterfalls in Cebu. 

It’s a tall and impressive waterfall, and you can swim in its inviting jade coloured rock pool. If you have the opportunity to swim in a jungle waterfall with no other visitors, would you take it? How is that for a bucket list tick off? This is definitely one of the awesome things to do in Moalboal.

Located in the mountains, we drove through lush jungle, passing fields of corn and valleys filled with coconut palm trees. It’s a beautiful journey and will give you the chance to experience what it’s like to live amongst nature. We saw dogs and goats, children waved and adults smiled saying hello. This is life in the Philippines at it’s very best.
